SUPERPÊCHE is a cinematic, intimate music duo at the crossroads of written and improvised music. Laure Fischer and Alexis Thepot have taken the risk of breaking away from the duo format to expose themselves. Alternately rhythmic melodists or harmonists, the two multi-hatted musicians combine the timbres of a similar ambitus.
Each track is a ballad, a journey down memory lane. The evocative effect is powerful and refreshing. Their music invites us to listen actively, to connect with our sensations, our imaginations and our emotions. Their sound has the freshness of a torrent, the breadth of a horizon and the disorientation of a journey to a distant and beloved land where shamanism emerges with respect and discretion.
